Finding Our Ways Forward Together

Expansion begins with a single, courageous step. Daring to cross what once seemed impassable opens up a new world of possibilities. This volume presents the stories of SNU people who broaden their horizons by proactively pursuing truth and help society move forward in a deep and meaningful way.

Building 28 of the College of Natural Sciences, which was completed in 1976, is where SNU’s history and spirit are enshrined. A representative example is its lobby, newly designed with the theme of “upcycling” when the building gave way to reconstruction in 2020. In this volume, we introduce two works of art: a piece created by assembling clay plates made from earth taken from the former site1 and a piece that sublimates radiators salvaged during the demolition into a symbol of truth spreading in all directions2.
